SparkMacon is partnering with the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce to launch the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) in Macon, which is the first community in Georgia to adopt the well-established program that transforms middle and high school students in CEOs of their own, real companies.
Local students meet for 30 weeks to brainstorm and form their business ideas, make pitches to investors for startup funding and launch their own businesses or social movements. Mentors and local entrepreneurs across a variety of industries, such as graphic design, web development, law, accounting, retail, manufacturing, technology and more are invited to support the students throughout the hands-on curriculum as mentors, field trip hosts or guest lecturers.
SparkMacon supports YEA! Macon, with our director overseeing the entrepreneurial experience for students, connecting them with local businesses, community leaders and educators to guide the development and formation of their own businesses and social movements.
